On March 15th, CCTC CEO Michael Mai met with Mr. Zhang Xiaochong, director of the International Cooperation Center under China National Development and Reform Commission in Beijing. During the meeting, Mr. Mai and Mr. Zhang both presented its missions and its contributions and obligations in promoting US-China Cultural exchange and bilateral business communication and understanding. Mr. Zhang expressed his appreciation towards CCTCS contributions and achievements in the past few years. During the meeting Mr. Mai sincerely invited Mr. Zhang as the distinguished and valuable guest to attend the first China Culture and Trade Forum in May in Los Angeles USA. And Mr. Mais invitation was accepted as a great honor to CCTC. Mr. Zhang, at the same time appointed Mr. Li, Ganshun, Executive dean of the Research Institute of Cultural Industry under the International Cooperation Center to be a keynote speaker for the first CCIF.

         

          Invited by the Cultural Bureau of Hebei Province, Mr. Mai of CCTC met with Deputy Directors of the Cultural Bureau, Mr. Peng, Weiguo, Mr. Wang Lixiang on March 16th.  Both parties held a cordial and sincere meeting on the issues as how to promote cultural industries of Hebei province to the mainstreams in the US. And both parties concluded with solid common ground to enhance mutual and bilateral understanding and communication and exchanges in the cultural and trade industries.

         
The First China Culture and Trade Forum will be held between May 18th to May 29th in Los Angeles, USA and has gained enormous supports from the elected officials in California. Ms. Judy Chu, Member of the Board of Equalization, California, Mr. Mike Eng, California State Assemblyman, Mr. Bob Huff, California State Assemblyman sent their support letters and congratulations to CCTC as well as several mayors of the local governments. CCTC has also invited and is expecting supports from the US senator Dianne Feinstein, Congresswoman Hilda Solis and California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Forum will be of great success with all these supports.

       

          Invited by China Traditional Brand Names Association, Mr. Mai of CCTC met with the Secretary of the Association, Mr. Gao, Yidao, in a Famous Traditional Brand Name restaurant to experience the uniqueness and specialties on March 17th. Both parties expressed intention and willingness to cooperate in promoting traditional brand names in China to the USA by utilizing CCTCS current display platform in Los Angeles.

         

         
The great artist, great Chinese painter, Master Xu, Beihongs eldest son, Mr. Xu, Boyang and nephew, Mr. Xu, Borong met with CCTC Michael Mai in Beijing in memory of the great contributions and achievements to the world by the late Master Xu, Beihong.
