“63rd National Hardware Show/Lawn & Garden World and Hardware Show” & Business Collaboration with the Chinese architect Association of California

China Culture & Trade Center USA reached an agreement with Guangdong Chamber of Building Decorative Materials on Feb. 18th 2008 to organize a group of 14 members of the Chamber to attend the Las Vegas “63rd National Hardware Show/Lawn & Garden World and Hardware Show” together with a series of business activities in the United States, including but not limited to participation in different seminars on trends and demands of building decorative materials conducted by US local architect and construction associations, attending the celebration ceremony of the “One World One Dream, 100days Count Down of 2008  Beijing Olympics” and “The Same Song”, visiting some US western cities and looking for collaborations and corporations with US counterparts. This trip also serves the purpose of helping the hardware and building decorative material industries of Guangdong to exploit international markets, to develop export economics. The delegation will also target in building up a platform in the USA for the business entities in Guangdong for direct communication, business expansion and collaboration and corporations with the US counterparts.

[Introduction of the Exhibition]

The Las Vegas National Hardware Show is one of the most famous and largest professional Hardware Exhibitions in the World. For the past consecutive years, Chinese exhibitors have made enormous achievements and generated measurable productivities. The Exhibition originated in 1945 in New York organized by Reed Exhibition LLC and record shows it has achieved 62 successful exhibitions since then. In the Exhibition of 2007 in Orlando, exhibitors and visitors from more than 30 countries and districts attended the show, of which 82% of were major purchasers combining with distributors, wholesalers, retailers and importers. 55.1% of the attendees were senior management executives and technical specialists while 20.4% were professional purchasers and merchants. The 2008 Exhibition of the National Hardware Show will be relocated to Las Vegas with increased exhibiting spaces and its influence in the industries will be greatly enhanced. It is the golden opportunity for the Chinese exhibitors to explore this enormous North-American Market.

[Market Analysis]

The US hardware market is the largest market in the world, primarily in hand tools, saws, gardening tools, electrical tools and general hardware, with the annual increasing rate of 12.2%. Its sales module has been developed into three major markets “Hardware chain store” Household fitment store” and “timber superstore”. While its retail volume is increasing steady pace, the number of its retail stores is decreasing on the contrary, which indicates its Hardware retail stores are emerging to larger scales. The US hardware sale is approaching 70 billion USD. After more than a decade development, the Chinese Hardware industry has become the largest manufacturing force in the world. At the same time, the international market has posted new demands to our hardware products, raising up higher standards in quality, packaging and production lead time etc. In order to enhance the competiveness of their products, Chinese enterprises have to increase the quality of their products while being in compliance with environment protection, natural resources and human resources.
